Exasperated with not getting my scripts made, I decided to up my chances by writing something high concept yet cheap. The cheapest script you can write has one setting and a handful of characters – so I decided to write an action thriller, set entirely in a house. I often like to start with a start with a challenge like that, it focuses my mind.
Director Tom Daley cleverly made a teaser trailer before the script was even finished – you can view it here - that really helped to get producers interested in the project. Indeed, it only took a couple of years to get from concept to screen. The feature was released in 2015.
